Home Information Packs
What is a HIP?

A HIP is an information pack about your property which you must provide to potential buyers of your property.

What is in a HIP?

All HIPs must include an Index, Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), Evidence of Title, Local & Water Searches and a Sale Statement.  If the copy is leasehold, the HIP will contain a copy of the lease.  These are the basic requirements, it is also possible to add items such as Seller's Forms, additional searches (optional) or a Home Condition Report (optional).

How Soon Can I Put My Property On The Market?

As soon as we receive written confirmation from you to prepare a HIP and funding for initial costs is received.

How Much Will It Cost?

Bunkers will charge £50 +VAT to prepare & provide the HIP in the required format.  The total costs per HIP varies according to whether the property is freehold or leasehold and the charges levied by different local authorities.  A typical freehold property in Brighton will incur a total charge of approximately £310.  This includes all searches and the EPC.  Please contact the property team for more precise information.
